I have an obsession about white teeth. The way it was represented, throughout my childhood, in movies, ads, even animations. It made me feel as if life is so much better and easier when you have white teeth.
As I got older I learned that yellow teeth are actually most of the times a sign of health, especially in Eastern and African countries.
This idea hit me when I heard that song "White Teeth Teens" by Lorde around 7 years ago. "We got the glow in our mouth, white teeth teens around"
I was inspired, yet I only now took action to think about this obsession and turn it into photography. I think my life is pretty good with or without white teeth. Or teeth.. just kidding. I have teeth. Though, contemplating about it and photographing about it made me feel a lot better.
