In their most recent exhibition, Cassia Powell's To Eat the Flower from the Root is a collection of vibrant oil paintings and objects meant to situate the viewer in a space of confusion, absurdity, and self-reflection. Using comical subject matter to depict surreal concepts that are rooted in real-life, real-time experiences, these works are an active reminder of everything we’ve been through; how we process loss, and how we grow from it.
