This new series of digital drawings is thematically a continuation of my previous one:
" The eloquence of Stupidity" and both are a still a reaction against the "trauma" of my art school days in the mid 90's in Tel Aviv, where I felt too stupid to reap inspiration from all the theoretical verbiage thrown at us, lacking the confidence to follow my true interests . My solace was the world of the then newly burgeoning comics scene. The stuff I drew was very derivative of what I was reading, like for example the autobiographical comics of Spiegelman and Crump, or Seth. Along the way I lost interest in telling stories and hacking out pre-scripted ideas. But I stayed attached to the " look" of Cartoons. Reversing Paul Klee's dictum of "taking the walk for a line, I would rather say I entrust myself to the line taking me for a walk.
