Yu Qianwen is a multimedia artist who works with video, installation, sound, weaving, animation. Recently she just graduated from Master of Fine Art degree in Film Video New media, and Animation department in School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She combines traditional techniques, such as weaving and hand-drawing, with modern techniques. The connection between her world and reality is made evident by the transformation between different art fields. Her artwork combines different human sensory dimensions, such as tactus, vision, and acoustics, and tries to blur the boundaries between different fields of weaving art, animation, film, sound, and space.
