My name is Vicky, originally from Germany and I’m in love with Encaustic Art especially with the Encaustic iron technique. We moved to Traverse City, Michigan in 2013 and I decided to share the mystery and beauty of Encaustic Art with the local community at Art shows. Most people never heard of someone painting with beeswax and a hot iron and people started to get curious. That inspired me to share the beauty of Encaustic Art with the world and introduce people( especially in the United States) to this unique and fascinating technique. I love creating abstract paintings but also nature related paintings that feature leaves, trees, landscapes. Every single painting is unique, unpredictable and made with love!
