This project aims to highlight different ways queer Nigerians are being affected by the laws enacted to vilify and criminalise their existence in their home country; and the negative attitudes the general population has against the queer community. It also aims to show the ways members of the queer community attempt to live authentically under the radar of homophobia.
It consists of three stories that were sourced from real accounts I had come across prior and during this project. I also referenced a couple of storytelling visual devices by some of my favourite books such as; Here (2014) by Richard McGuire, A.D.: New Orleans after the Deluge (2009) and Joe Sacco’s Palestine (2003).
