The Kids Aren’t Alright

The kids aren’t alright. The planet is burning and we are drowning in debt. There is so much that, despite our effort, is out of our control. We are tired. We are scared. So how do we cope? We attempt to support one another, we try to keep up our rituals,  and we want to remind each other that we are able to bring change. In this project, I look to examine how we find comfort in one another through touch, gesture, and the environment by photographing landscapes, and people. I also look to depict the impulse and unexplainable of this unprecedented time as we do our best to continue our rituals when there is so much to lose. With this project, I find comfort and control in the uncomfortable, as I try to make sense of the disorder and uncertainty of everyday life?
