We live in a modern apocalypse. The future is split between manmade antithesis and parodies of human prediction. This is where fiction finds its justified place. The series began on the Aegean island of Patmos, the so-called ‘’Island of the Apocalypse’’, the place from where infernal visions of mankind’s ultimate downfall sprang, inspiring Saint John, to write the Book of Revelation, the final book of the New Testament. Bringing together my late father’s archives and the current islandic topography, the work untangles the remaking that surviving loss entails, introducing a space that is historically and hermeneutically transformed; a place where amnesic memories are recorded.
