The Illustrated Invasives series of posters highlights 6 high-profile invasive species to the United States. An invasive species is an organism that has been introduced to a non-native environment and causes ecological and/or economic harm. They posses unique characteristics that allows them to succeed in a new environment like fast reproduction, lack of predators, and massive appetites.
I wanted to objectively represent these animals as they are, and not demonize them for their success because it is ultimately tied to human actions. It is up to us as responsible inhabitants of this planet to understand and become educated about the natural world.
