I work primarily as a filmmaker, but I work across other mediums also (photography, writing, collage), basically anything that allows me to explore my fascination with the power and elasticity of words. Lately I have been producing a series of 1x1 photos with captions layered directly on the images that comment and poke fun at a variety of topics, from culture to sports, politics to love. These are the first 8. In some cases the words expand on what we see, and in other cases they bring a totally new perspective. For the most part, filmmaking can be quite a time-consuming and costly activity you can't do on your own, so this has been a really refreshing experience where I just roam the streets for hours, alone with my camera.
