The photos in this group were all taken at surge points in the COVID pandemic. Interacting with strangers, friends, and even family, was frightening at times. Often, there seemed to be a barrier in the exact place where I needed one to be gone. The eyes, the mouth, the body are primary means of connection and communication. Without touch and breath and unclouded eyes, people seemed harsh, distant, and fearful.
The contact that was so needed was often blocked in the exact places where I needed it to be gone. Let's hope that 2022 sees these barriers drop away so that we can meet and shake hands and hug and kiss and love and know each others as safe keepers as we all walk each other home, again.
