The Barbers is a photo essay that explores the life and culture of the barbers of "La Cinco de Mayo", one of the most chaotic and busy streets of Panama City. In the midst of an accelerated real state expansion and because of the touristic development and growth of this part of town, the barbers of the "West Side Barbershop" have been few of the stands that have survived. This series explores the concepts of gentrification, as well as the culture and identity of the Panamanian worker.
