This painting, "The Awakening", conceptually revolves around thought, a long-distance race. It alludes to the awakening of dormant feelings, emphasizing the arduous beauty of darkness that prevents us from seeing the beauty of life, only our reality.
It took the artist 13 years to understand that she did not lose her identity to a swamp; instead, she was raising it in an artistic expression, Reluet, the name of her home backwards, Cal Teuler, in the beautiful village of Miralpeix.
