Katherine's work is interdisciplinary, focusing primarily on the natural world and the human condition. Her watercolours explore the natural world; animals, humans, flora and the merging of interesting parallels she finds within nature. Humans being a part of that too. Although there is a figurative element to these works they border on the abstract. The fluidity and relative chaos of watercolour lends itself to the merging of ideas, as the watercolours and water naturally merge – so does the subject matter – in a water-like manner.
