Teratology is the scientific study of abnormalities and abnormal formations in life. It is also used to describe a mythology relating to fantastic creatures and monsters. This series is meant to illustrate a world where organic and manmade matter have evolved to work in unison. It explores the idea of natural and manmade objects working in a space to create an entity that is unfamiliar and visually stimulating. The images are loosely based on vintage scientific illustrated plates of past fauna and flora. These pieces are assembled, photographed, dismantled, and reused in future images.
