‘tender’ is an on-going project started from 2019, aim to document the beauty of female body through female gaze. The name ‘tender’ comes from Sylvia Plath’s ‘The Bell Jar’. The motive behind the project is the body of a female should not be objectified, and nudity should not be limited to just a symbol of sexuality.
None of the girls are professional models, many of them were strangers who I had met through mutual friends and social networks before they came to be photographed by me. These works not only documented the beauty of each person’s body but also represent a special trust between us.
