In my paintings I explore the idea of an inner emotional conflict through the use of animal imagery, where animal forms represent uncontrolled and wild emotions. I am also inspired by the way emotion and conscience work in terms of science, and the imagery in my work is inspired by the structure of the brain and organs on a microscopic level. My work questions the role of emotion, its origins, and the extent to which it define who we are.
