Focusing on sculpture and installation as well as photography, I explore how light interacts with various materialities, generating unfamiliar space. My works are the pursuit of capturing the moments and memories that are delicate, fragile, and ephemeral but are so compelling at the same time. I investigate what is conspicuous by its absence. I have been incorporating light as the primary source to explore the relationship between absence and presence; not being there, but being there. With the subtle yet resplendent nature of light, I paint and draw with reflection and shadow to evoke diverse responses.
In this selection of works, I experiment to capture the poetic residues of memory and emotion, which result in surrealistic imagery.
