It’s the etcetera, that this project, “Surf, Etcetera” celebrates. A momentary rainbow in the spindrift, an emerald-hued wave somewhere in the far Northwest, two surfers in the last light of day. And the light—always dancing on the curves, sparkling the surfaces. These are the moments I sought to capture, some of them seemingly off center, but in fact all of them tumbling out from decades now spent chasing down waves. I lean on the intricate details of the ocean and its surrounding environment to poetically dissert the sport and hopefully spark interest for others to develop their own relationship with the water.
What I ended up with is a self-published photo book; 88 pages of unexpected visions
