Chicago-based illustrator and designer, Delaney Gibbons, has been incorporating words into her artwork since she could first hold a crayon. She graduated from Parsons The New School for Design in 2013, where she earned degrees in both illustration and creative writing. She continues to experiment with combining words and visuals, which can be seen in her most recent personal project.
“I wanted to explore an idea I had around combining typical bone-dry traffic sign verbiage with warm terms of endearment. The result was a series of 14 quirky, hand lettered graphics that envision a sweeter side of street signs.”
