ST!VN (1990) is a self-taught contemporary Mexican artist. In 2012 while studying architecture, he began experimenting with technology and industrial materials to create works that blur the line between image and object. His work follows a multidisciplinary methodology from free-draw and digitalization to studio production in which the creative procedure is as important as the final result.
ST!VN´s work is founded on the pillars of symbolism, representation, language, virtuality, and object, which materialize through a complex and interdisciplinary production chain that reconceives the medium of Assemblage, an art form that dates back to 20th century Europe and consists of three-dimensional elements projecting from a surface. His strong visual language and complex compositions could seem they were extracted from the internet.
