This body of work came about while trying to reconcile my love of cartoons and comic books and my reverence for art history. For a long time I thought that even though I initially became interested in drawing and painting through these mediums, that I should grow up or move on from them. They were somehow lesser. But maybe I was wrong. These works are an exploration of the influence and commonalities I find among both.
