My name is Anas Abdulhak, I'm a Syrian collage artist, and I've recently started working on a collection called "Somnium" which is Latin for a dream. Where I blend comic book superheroes with pictures of the wreckage and the war in Syria as a means to say "we need a hero". Heroes have always been seen as symbols of hope and inspiration, so by mixing superheroes with images of Syria, I aim to trigger that feeling in the viewer's mind.
