I was traveling with friends when I decided to stay a week longer in Istanbul, solo, because that's the only way I can truly connect to a new city. I spent most of my days there wandering around aimlessly with my film camera. There's something truly intimate about traveling alone and shooting film. It forces you to slow down and really pay attention. I noticed how seemingly ordinary things came to life at different times of the day. Anything can be interesting under the right light, you just have to pause for a beat to notice it.
