My name is Hadar Ben-Tzur, born and raised in Jerusalem – my father is an architect and a painter and my mother is an educator. During the Second Intifada in the early 2000s, my siblings and I attended a secular school in Jerusalem's center. I now live in Brooklyn, New York, and just before my trip to Cuba and Israel in January of 2020, I received two B&W film rolls from my partner's father. The same film roll that documented my trip back to Jerusalem, would document the beginning of our shared life together in Brooklyn – just as the world was struck by a global pandemic.
