These images are a few recent works in a new style I've been experimenting in since December. I've been using my hoards of reference images to build collages, and then translating those collages into illustrations. This has allowed me to better depict abstractions and dream-sensations, which I'm finding especially interesting during quarantine- it also helps me feel as though I'm doing justice to these scraps of magazines that I've been hanging onto for years. Drawing a collage is a very cathartic and satisfying process for me, and I highly recommend experimenting with it if you're looking for a drawing exercise or a way to switch up your subject matter.
