My work typically depicts slice of life scenes that take inspiration from pop culture, social media and, occasionally, art history. I often paint images within my images – such as phone screens, photographs and other artwork – because I like how it gives me the flexibility to blend genres and create a portrait within a still life, or a landscape within an interior scene. Each of my paintings are a reflection on (and a celebration of) the mundanity of everyday life.
