My latest series “SINGULARITY” explores the contradiction and absurdity of being in an emerging and submerging state at the same time. The partially visible heads rest on a timeless mode, which I like to think of as a singularity because one cannot tell the direction of the process: are they emerging or sinking? To visually enhance this unstable and unique condition, I work with different mediums, such as acrylic, oil and spray paint, and use inverted colors in vivid layered backgrounds.
