I clicked this image last year during my trip to Varanasi. On a full moon night, the sound of ringing bells reverberated the ghats during the evening aarti conducted by seven priests. A boy of around 11 years of age dressed in Lord Shiva’s costume with tiger skin, a damaru (musical instrument) in his right hand and a third eye on his forehead was walking around asking for alms from the devotees. The blue skin represents his holy nature as is the nature of all Hindu Gods.
