Born in the Central African Republic, raised in Paris, and now based in Berlin, Ladegaine is a self-taught photographer who is primarily interested in notions of identity, own culture, and tradition. Nourished by his travels in many countries in Africa and elsewhere, he is passionate about the evolution of humans in their environment, and his work consists of transcribing this reality, its challenges, and the emotions that result from it.
Shanghai Nites is the story of long nights spent documenting and exploring the city in its most random aspect, on foot, in a restaurant, sometimes meeting Chinese people in the street.
