Sever explores the mental detachment from myself and my work every time I manipulate an image through physical detachment. How much time will I spend creating a world instead of living in this one, and how easily can I tear it apart? Sever is a search to find a world I want to hold on to for more than its destruction. There was a time when I feared leaving traces of myself in my photographs. But through this series I’ve come to realize my pictures are remnants that I leave of myself in life.
