Series of Turtle shell jello

Photos of turtle shell jello (Chinese dessert, traditionally made of turtle shell, today by herbs), also eatable installations of art. It makes sense visually, and tastes on point.
I’ve been exploring how the “chemistry” works between western and eastern art.
Minimal style is favored by both west and east, and Chinese artists call it the method of “Liubai”(nothing in space). By the means of “Liubai” expression, this series breaks the visual stereotype of turtle shell jello that'd been usually(poorly) shown.
Turtle shell jello gets bad quickly, once it’s solidified from liquid, it’ll soon become crumpled. I love to capture its freshest moment, it makes me feel more sensitive to the passing of time. The photos had made jello’s moment “immortal” to some extent, but the question is, how lasting ability and true value are related.
