Under self isolation, being all by myself at home, I came up with this idea to protect my mental health that I should bring my creative ideas to reality. I've had many ideas of photographs I could never complete for months/years because of the monotone adulting life, time never being right. I thought.. "why not shoot them while being stuck at home?". This is a total challenge since I've never used my camera to portrait my own self. I'm overcoming it. Here are my self portraits during my self isolation period in the Covid-19 pandemic starting from 20 March 2020. It is a photo journey on matters I like to think about and matters that we are forced to think about such as body image anxiety, home haircuts, losing the meaning of time, days becoming same, increasing number of cases of domestic violence, coming out of closets.
