I am an illustrator based in Brooklyn—my clients include The New Yorker, The New York Times, Popular Science, The Washington Post, and others. In my personal practice, I am at work on a long series titled Ellingson's Dreams. The first volume, completed last year, compiled one hundred large-scale illustratons that blended elements of pop art, comics, and surrealism. I have revived this approach for Volume 2, with an eye toward overcrowding my images and marking out new aesthetic territory: architecture, abstraction, and collage. The project is a kind of ongoing visual journal of my internal life, a bended mirror in which I view myself and my relationships.
