Painting, for me, is more than a medium, it is a system through which I question, reflect, and engage with the world. My studio practice is centered around experimentation, which is framed within a dialectic between observation and invention. I aim to challenge conventional boundaries and engage in dialogue about the material, historical, and conceptual frameworks that shape our understanding of painting. My observational works garner subjects through investigating the visual impressions encountered in the everyday world, while my more inventive paintings play with a stylized approach to narratives and historical examinations. The resulting paintings are a synthesis of observation and simulation.
