An image of an empty house exhibits loneliness. Yet, an image of a house filled with human limbs is peculiar. As an artist, I am the ferryman between two banks, treading along the question of what it’s like to be human. In hindsight, architecture is one of the most human things that people often do not realize.
I create works that reinvigorate old surrealist ideas, with a renovation in both visions and imagery driven by cinematic narratives. As juxtaposed to old surrealists exploring the unconscious, I use idiosyncratic imagery to justify my contemporary presence. Synthesizing architecture with humanistic characteristics to portray ideas, my works are introspective reflections as well as commentaries ranging from modern perfectionism, elitism, melancholy, to invisible barriers within our social-economical playgrounds.
