As I wander, I notice.
The sun brings to light and frames the unique particularities of everyday life. The various textures of the city emerge and pique my curiosity. By walking the streets at length, I discover what has always been there. These seemingly habitual, perhaps forgotten details hold a story of their own. The unstaged narrative of coexisting, a reflection of change and progress, the vulnerable balance between freedom and control.
Segunda Naturaleza is a body of work created during a two month art residency in Buenos Aires, Argentina. By observing the distinct relationship between nature and the urbanized environment, I aim to reveal and further question the absurd familiarity of what surrounds us.
