I am a Mexican-Argentinian artist residing in Buenos Aires. My works, primarily composed of oil paintings, explore the drives of Eros: the life impulse, desire, and love; and of Thanatos: the aggressive and self-destructive force in humans, and how both unfold in the modern era, especially within contemporary gay culture.
I have always felt a deep connection to sexuality, both in its liberating and alluring nature as in its vicious and punishing aspects. Some of the faces I paint, blurry and undefined, are a representation of how these transactional bonds transcend, nameless and faceless memories.
