I love creating colourful and fluid paintings that are symbolic of embracing chaos. Working with acrylic inks on canvas or synthetic yupo and terraskin paper I allow the inks to ‘find their way’ and have authority. This creates a rapport with me that influences the focus of the painting. My intuitive, bold, and energetic works are a synergistic process of letting go, then transforming the spontaneous gestural abstractions into images of significance.
I live and work in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I have a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design and MFA from San Francisco Art Institute.
