Inspiration for this piece was taken from stunning aerial photographs of salt flats in shot by my son.
These salt flats are located in Victoria Australia and are home to an abundance of bird life. Hundreds of black swans breed here. The salt flats are divided by roads, scrub and bush land and have formed in rudimentary geometrical shapes. In all of my works I pay homage to the creative pursuits of my family and featured quietly within the works you will find a cello, a drone and a house (my daughter is a cellist, my son is a aerial photographer and my husband is an architect).
