Tindaya, la montaña sagrada de Fuerteventura is the island’s most distinctive natural monument, with many myths and legends still associated with it today.
One of them is that the footprints discovered on its slopes once belonged to the devil.
The other one is said to be connected to witches as at the foot of the mountain one of the cavities is called Bailadero de las Brujas, which in English means the Dancehall of the Witches where allegedly witchcraft rituals used to take place.
The project was created in June 2023 during an art residency at Casa La Paz in Fuerteventura.
