I have been photographing rubbish for over 6 years.
My photographs depict items and echoes from intentional and unintentional happenings, reactions from human movements, the leftovers from events. The images hold interconnected narratives, a glimpse of what happened before, held in the form of what is left behind.
My pictures hang between the world of portraiture, landscape and documentation. The sometimes humorous, sometimes sad happenings, become new compositions of playful, colourful forms; sitting both in contrast and yet at home in the natural world or cityscape that they temporarily inhabit.
Rubbish Pictures are snapshots, instant images of temporary creatures.
