Thekla Papadopoulou is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Larnaca, Cyprus. She mostly works with mixed media and her work captures and presents to the viewer the sea essence, through aesthetics, materiality, and display. The artist aims to transfer the viewer within her own mindscapes, by deploying a variety of materials and processes, as a means of visualizing blurry memories of her encounters with nature, almost as snapshots of an unconscious recollection of imagery and senses.
Papadopoulou’s work has been shown in 5 solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions in the USA, Dubai, UK, Greece and Cyprus. The artist was selected to exhibit her work in One Art Space Gallery in New York in 2019 and in Dalton Gallery of Agnes Scott College in Georgia, USA.
