Most of my work deals with subtle moments that I want to capture when no one else is looking, so I like to describe them as ‘quiet’. I use photography as a chance to make the viewer reconsider plain and overlooked scenes from everyday life. These photos, specifically, have been inspired by the notion that ordinary subjects can be made into art by photographing them. This idea allows me to feel as if I can make extraordinary photographs out of fleeting and ordinary moments. I am also intrigued by the anonymity of shadows, silhouettes, and indirect portraits, which are common elements of this project. Overall, I aimed to display beauty and simplicity in unsuspecting places.
