‘Pretend You Are Home’ (2021) is a diaristic project that documents a year of living alone and aims to reflect on the notions of isolation, home and belonging. I started it soon after moving to live alone on my own for the first time in life – something I both longed and feared but never had a chance to do. The series is an attempt to grasp the small details and sudden transformations in the immediate surroundings that make one feel like they belong, or fail to do so.
