Photography to me is one of the few ways I’ve ever been able to artistically express myself, and it has helped me work through depression and anxiety.
I find solace in being behind the camera, and it helps me stay present. When I'm taking pictures, everything outside the frame and the moment disappear. Especially in the current times we live in, I think there’s a lot of value in having something that you can lose yourself in.
Portraiture as a genre has always intrigued me, and I love to explore the connection it gives between subject and photographer. One of the best feelings is making someone feel confident in front of a camera and I love the challenge of capturing what makes everyone unique.
I believe art is meant to be shared. To see that my images can inspire viewers or give my subjects confidence they may not have had.
