My name is Samantha Washington and I am a Canadian artist and illustrator based in Calgary, Alberta. I have been drawing and developing my rendering technique in graphite for nearly the entirety of my life, continuing to pursue technical realism in order to manipulate it. I have always been driven to depict the worlds of my imagination and express stories though visual art, a passion that has lead me to dedicate my life to pursuing the expansion of my artistic practice. Through my work I explore surrealist concepts, mythology and my deep, life long interest in the broader world of mythical creatures and cryptids.
