Until one day when I met a boy with whom I experienced an uncanny connection.
This person became my best friend
Until March of 2018 when he died at the age of 37.
Sometimes it takes pain to strip away the veil so that we can face reality not as we’d like it to be, but as it actually is.
We find ourselves in such a time now.
Will we hide from reality or will we accept the truth and choose to move forward with hope and courage?
Phantasmagoria is about choosing to recognize the dark parts of ourselves and the world.
Not so that we can fall into despair, but so we can come to know what bravery and optimism truly are.
Because only when we are willing and able to pass through the dark night of the soul can we discover what it means to be alive, human, and hopeful for the future.
