This illustrated book is my tribute to a classic novel of magic realism and one of the most important works of Mexican literature. I spent about three months working on the illustrations with a variety of ink techniques.
Swearing to his dying mother that he'll find the father he has never met, Juan Preciado sets out across the barren plains of Mexico for Comala. Between the realms of the living and the dead, in fragments of dreams and the nightly whispers of Comala's ghosts, emerges the tragic tale of Pedro Páramo.
