My work centers on documenting the people/surroundings around me to capture the passage of time.
When I was younger time moved slowly and I was impatient to grow up. I remember feeling that way. Now I feel the opposite and it seem’s like time has become this formidable sweeping wave rushing towards me. Time changes everything, and with enough of it familiar places become unrecognizable, friends become strangers and the world renews itself and keeps moving on. Event’s take place and impact us as a collective but eventually time sweeps it all into the past.
One day I would like to sit in the future 50 years from now and go back in time with these photographs, revisit the same places and see what time has made of them.
